Maseru, Sept.26 — Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) held its second annual Tax payers Appreciation day in Maseru on Friday.
In her opening remarks, the Commissioner General for the RSL Mrs. ‘Mathabo Mokoko said that the event is held in honour of institutions and individuals for their contribution and commitment in the fiscas.
She indicated that it also reflects on the partnership between the state and its citizens as every contribution in tax compliance is a seed into the country’s economy.


She added that tax compliance is more than just a legal deed but an act of love and recognition of responsibility in building the future of the country.
Mrs. Mokoko however urged every Mosotho and entrepreneurs to be faithful to their tax obligations as tax collection is a vital initiative that drives the country into sustainable development. Meanwhile, in his keynote address, the Minister of Public Service Mr. Mputi Mputi said that tax collection is an initiative that helps the government achieve some of its development plans such as education, health and infrastructure. . . . .
