SENATE RECONVENES AFTER INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION

Maseru, Oct. 29 —The Senate has returned from a brief recess to commemorate the 58th Independence of Lesotho. 

During the first session back, Senate President Mrs. Mamonaheng Mokitimi extended a warm welcome to the Senators.

In her address, Mrs. Mokitimi expressed hope that the Senators had fully embraced the dual celebrations, marking not only the 58th year of Lesotho’s independence but also the bicentennial of the nation’s existence. 

She expressed optimism that these significant milestones would foster peace, unity and national harmony.
