DEFENCE CONTINUES TO PRESENT CASE

Maseru, Oct.29—-After leading evidence from one of the accused, Private Nemaso Fako, in a trial within trial in the ongoing Mohale Dam Murder Trial, the defence led evidence from Advocate Moteko Ntabe.

The witness testified that in 2017, Major Litsietsi Monyeke became his client. He stated that the client once consulted with him adding that he also delivered him to the police at Police Headquarters in Maseru. He pointed out that Monyeke was to be interrogated by the police in his presence but he was told that he was not needed for the interrogation, therefore he had to go, leaving behind his client.

He remarked that if his client was advised of his right to legal representation, it did not make sense that he was excused from the interrogations. He pointed out that the atmosphere around the case was not forthcoming therefore he could not represent Monyeke anymore. ..
