Mafeteng, Nov. 11 — The Mafeteng Criminal Investigation is currently investigating a murder case whereby a 18 year old initiation school boy was assaulted to death on Sunday.
In an interview with the Officer Commanding Mafeteng Police Superintendent Molefe Mafafau said it is alleged that the deceased who is from Ha Raporong in Mohales’ Hoek was trying to run away from the school on November 02, 2025.
He highlighted that the deceased sustained severe whip marks all over the body where it is suspected that traditional sticks and whips have been used to assault the deceased.
Superintendent Molefe said this is the second case taking place at initiation school at one weekend, these two incidents took place at initiation schools of Thabana-Mamorena and Ha Mamaebana in Matelile respectively.
