SENATE TAKES SHORT RECESS AHEAD OF 10TH AMENDMENT TO CONSTITUTION BILL WORKSHOP

Maseru, Nov. 05 — The House of the Senate has adjourned until Thursday, November 07, to allow Senators to attend a crucial workshop on the 10th Amendment to the Constitution Bill, 2024. 

The decision comes as the Bill faces a series of delays in being passed, sparking widespread debate among lawmakers and stakeholders.

Reading the notice of adjournment, Senator Makholu Moshoeshoe stressed the importance of the Bill, calling it long overdue. 

She urged all Senators to participate actively in the upcoming workshop to facilitate a smoother debate when the Bill is formally discussed in the House.
