Maseru, Mar. 05 — The Leader of the House Mr. Matjato Moteane has today moved the motion that the House adjourn to allow Senators to attend the commemoration of the Moshoeshoe’s Day held each year on March 11.
As he moved the motion, Mr. Moteane said this year’s celebration is different from past years because it encompasses the unveiling of the 60th diamond jubilee logo, adding that the adjournment will also allow a committee of Government Assurance members to attend the training scheduled for Monday 09.
The motion was seconded by Senator ‘Mawinnie Kanetsi stating that the training is going to benefit them by enhancing their skills when dealing with matters of the house.
Moshoeshoe’s day is annually commemorated on March 11, in honour of the founder of the Basotho nation King Moshoeshoe 1.
This year’s commemoration will also include the unveiling of the 60th diamond jubilee logo of Independence Day.
