Maseru, July 21 — At least four inmates are said to have suffered six months torture following their escape from Maseru Central Correctional Institioun (MCCI) on December 21 last year.
This came out during testification by Aumane Nkoale before the Commission of Inquiry on the escape of inmates.
“We were confined in our room cell for six months and not given a chance to see the sun during the day,” he said.
He explained that they were locked in cell 19, block C and only opened up early in the morning to take a cold bath before other inmates could be opened up.
