TEARS OF JOY FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

Qacha’s Nek, Dec. 06 — In a heartwarming ceremony marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, five individuals received life-changing assistive devices, thanks to the Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development.

Her Majesty Queen ’Masenate Mohato Seeiso, patron of the Lesotho National Federation of Organisations of the Disabled (LNFOD), alongside the Minister of Gender, Youth and Social Development, handed over items including a wheelchair, prosthetic limbs, crutches and white canes.

The event was filled with emotion as beneficiaries shed tears of joy and attendees celebrated with ululations and applause.

One of the recipients, a 16 year-old grade 10 student from Ha Sekake, shared her story of resilience.
