TEEN REMANDED TO JUVENILE FOR MURDER

Qacha’s Nek, Feb. 06 — The Qacha’s Nek Magistrate Court has remanded a 15 year-old boy from Mohlanapeng, Lebakeng to the Juvenile Training Centre (JTC) after he was charged with the murder of Relebohile Lethoba aged 18.

The court, presided over by Magistrate Ponts’o Jankie-Lehasa, heard that on December 7, 2024 the accused unlawfully struck Lethoba on the head with a stick, leading to his death the same day. 

He is charged under Section 40(1), read with 109(3), of the Penal Code Act No. 6 of 2010.

In an interview with the Agency, Detective Sub-Inspector Thabo Setenane, Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Manager at Qacha’s Nek Police Station, stated that the incident happened around 7 p.m. outside the village.
