UAT NEC MEMBERS WALK AWAY

Maseru, Aug. 17—United Africans Transformation (UAT) members of the National Executive

Committee have left it, blaming the Party Leader, Dr. Mahali Phamotse for mismanagement.

In a Friday presser, Deputy Leader, Mr. Mojela Mafike, Deputy Public Relations Officer, Mrs.

‘Makarabo Nkholise, Public Relation Officer of the Women’s League, Ms. Kekeletso Makenete,

Chairperson of the Women’s League, Ms. Ntakho Monare, Chairperson of the National Affiliate

Committee, Mr. Cowboy Sethathi announced their exit, attributing it to the party leader’s alleged

authoritarian behaviour.

A few days back, the Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Refiloe Lephoi and the Public Relations Officer

Mr. Tsepiso Abia also left  UAT.

Mafike alleges that Dr. Phamotse has interfered with the upcoming party elections process, meaning

There is no point in going for the polls when the outcome has already been decided by the party leader

who has also shunned the party’s constitution…
