Maseru, May 18 — The uprising rate of unemployment that the country is faced with seems to be a major issue that the nation is worried about.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Saturday, a concerned citizen Mr. Taole Makubakube said that issues surrounding unemployment are also a contributing factor towards increased crime rate within the country.
He said that also the increase in the rate which youth engage in suicidal thoughts is also a factor due to unemployment.
He indicated that the other issue which also jeopardizes bilateral relations for Lesotho and South Africa is that of illegal mining that many Basotho engage in while in South Africa which is also reported to be a matter associated with high unemployment rate that the country of Lesotho is faced with.
