Mohale’s Hoek, Oct. 12 — The Lesotho Mounted Police Deputy Public Relations Officer, Inspector ‘Mareabetsoe Mofoka has on Tuesday confirmed the latest assault of a 28-year-old man from Qalakheng whose throat was half cut.
Insp. Mofoka said the victim is reported to have arrived at the house of a 61-year-old woman at Mekaling at about 2 in the morning on Friday begging for help, and upon opening the door the woman came across a naked man who was bleeding heavily.
She further indicated that the victim’s throat and his private parts were partly cut and was only breathing through his neck, and the old lady called the police who could not make it on time because of the scarcity of vehicles, but upon arrival the victim was rushed to the hospital.
