Maseru, Feb.11—The newly appointed Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offences (DCEO) Director General Advocate Brigadier Mantso Sello is said to be on secondment. This is according to the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Sakeng Lekola.
He said in line with the LDF Act 4 of 1996 any member of the army can be on secondment saying that Section 7 (3) of the same Act stipulates that the Minister may attach or second to the public service any member of the force under such terms and conditions as may be agreed upon by the Minister responsible for the public service.
Therefore, he explained that Advocate Brigadier Sello is only on secondment emphasizing that he is still a member of the LDF. He said once his term ends, he will return to the army.
