BASOTHO CHIEFS FROM SOUTH AFRICA TO CELEBRATE 200 YEARS

Maseru, June 29 — Issues surrounding unity, peace and stability within the Basotho nation in and out of the country are currently the desires and priority to keeping the nation together.

This emerged at an event held in Thaba -Bosiu on Saturday where Basotho Chiefs reigning in Qwaqwa and Matatiele have revealed their support in the celebrations of the 200 years of existence for the Basotho nation. 

Speaking at this event, Chief Lerotholi Mopeli from Qwaqwa said that in celebration of the 200 years, they host a number of events upon receiving the revival torch which will be on July 26.

He stated that the revival torch is expected to go around the 7 districts of Qwaqwa whereby prayer sessions in request of unity and peace for the Basotho nation will be held.
