Berea, Sept 22 — At least 40 members drawn from the newly established Community Council Child Protection Team (CCCPT’s) of Mapoteng and Motanasela were equipped with skills regarding the child protection issues during a two-day training staged at Teyateyaneng from Thursday.
According to one of the District Child Protection Team (DCPT) facilitators and the Department of Social Development Senior Child Welfare Officer Ms. Hape Ntili the purpose of the training is to decentralize and strengthen coordination of the child protection issues down to the community’s level as one of the prevention strategies in creating a child friendly environment.
