COURT CANCELS WARRANT OF ARREST

Maseru, Apr. 22—The High Court has on Monday, in a case in which two politicians, former army commander and the army members are among others charged with treason, cancelled a warrant of arrest which it had on March 18 2024, issued against Mr. Tanki Mothae for contempt of court.

This was after Mr. Mothae requested for the cancellation indicating that the warrant of arrest reflects badly on him. He stated that it is as if he is a criminal and a person who does not obey court orders.

He told the court that he failed to show up in court on March 18 2024 to continue with his evidence as he was not aware that the case would be proceeding on that day. He pointed out that he was only informed on Sunday March 17 that the case would be proceeding on Monday March 18 2024. He said he was outside the country when he got the information…
