Qacha’s Nek, July.16 — The Qacha’s Nek Magistrate Court has remanded 51-year-old Monamoli Malesela of Ha Rariti, in custody after charging him with the murder of Motlalepula Ramots’oane (47).
Malesela briefly appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Ts’eliso Bale on Wednesday, where the charge under Section 40 (1) read with 109 (3) of the Penal Code Act No. 6 of 2010 was read to him.
He is accused of striking Ramots’oane with a burning piece of wood during a traditional feast in Ha Sekake on July 12, leading to the victim’s death at Sekake Health Centre.
Crown Counsel Advocate Itumeleng Lentsoe represented the prosecution. The accused has been remanded in custody until July 30, 2025…
