COURT RESERVES JUDGMENT 

Maseru, Sept 19—-The High Court has reserved to October 15 2024, a judgment on an application for recusal in which Thabiso Lekitla, a Member of Parliament for Mekaling, who is standing trial for murder, is asking Justice Mabats’oeneng Hlaele to withdraw from presiding over the case.  

When addressing the court, Legal Representative for the accused Adv. Motiea Teele (KC) stated that it is the right thing for the judge to recuse herself and the case proceeds before a different judicial officer. He pointed out that the attitude of the court and the comments it made on September 02nd and 03rd 2024 when postponement was sought by Adv. Lepeli Molapo who is one of the accused’s lawyers as well as the accused respectively, led to the application for the recusal…
