Qacha’s Nek, Oct. 21 — Today marks the conclusion of the targeting process for 1,500 of the most vulnerable beneficiaries at hard-to-reach distribution points for United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) dignity kits in Matebeng, Lebakeng and Leseling.
This week-long targeting, conducted by the District Disaster Management Team (DDMT), began last Tuesday with distribution scheduled for the first two weeks of November 2024.
Each dignity kit includes essential items such as sanitary pads, bath soap, toothpaste and a toothbrush, all conveniently packed in a backpack or easy-to-carry bucket.
Tailored to the specific needs of women and girls, these kits address both hygiene and personal dignity.
According to Mrs. ’Mats’itso Motemekoane, Disaster Manager at Qacha’s Nek Disaster Management Authority (DMA), 15 areas are targeted, with 12 already covered: Mosenekeng, Ramokakatlela, Thaba-koto, Thamathu, Rapase, Sephelane, Sepechele, Masuoaneng, Maboloka, Melikane, Tebellong and Thuube.
