Quthing, April 15 — Small stock farmers from various wool-sheds in the district exhibited their hybrid sheep and goats at the district small stock show held at Moyeni wool-shed in Quthing Urban Council on Tuesday this week.
The event, organized in a form of competition by Quthing Wool and Mohair Growers Association (QWMGA), was intended to identify hybrid sheep and goats to represent the district at a two-day national event of this kind to be held in Maseu.
The Acting Director of Field Services at the same event, Mr. Mabusetsa Makau applauded small stock farmers for their commitment in holding district exhibitions despite harsh weather conditions, highlighting that their exhibits have improved to the better when compared to last year.
He commented on the winners for hard work of hybrid sheep and goats production, and encouraged those that have lost to put more effort on improving their breed to the best. NK/TL
