EXTRAORDINARY SADC SUMMIT FOR

DRC Maseru, Nov. 17 — The Southern African Development Community (SADC) will convene an extraordinary summit of Heads of State and Government on November 20 in Harare, Zimbabwe to review security situation in the region, with particular focus on the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The summit which will receive an update on the progress of the SADC mission in the DRC will be chaired by President of Zimbabwe and Chairperson of the organ, Dr. Emmerson Mnangagwa.

DRC, for years has been faced with humanitarian disaster and food insecurity, and has become the second largest internally displaced people crisis globally. . .
