Maseru, Jan. 04—Director of Consular Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been suspended on allegations that he assisted Dr. Ts’epo Lipholo on his land reclamation trip to the United Nations (UN).
The letter written to Mr. Japan Mthambo, which the ministry has not confirmed its legitimacy reads:
‘’The ministry has noted with grave concern that you facilitated the VISA approval process of Hon. Dr. Tsepo Lipholo, a member of parliament, for his private travel to the United States of America. As you are aware, it is not the practice of the Ministry to facilitate private international travel for citizens.
