Gaborone, Aug. 19 — Journalists from Lesotho and Botswana gathered in Gaborone this week for a training focused on boosting gender-aware reporting skills and increasing women’s voices in the media.
This is part of a five-days regional programme engaging 22 media outlets across five countries, aiming to promote gender equality in media content and workplace culture.
The workshop, which began on Monday and ends on Friday, is part of the Media Parity Capacity Building Programme.
The initiative, led by Canal France International (CFI) Media Development in collaboration with Gender Links, is designed to strengthen gender-aware reporting, increase the use of women as news sources, and foster professional and inclusive newsroom cultures.
