GHANA HELICOPTER CRASH CLAIMS EIGHT LIVES

Maseru, Aug. 07 — The bodies of Ghana’s Defence Minister, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, and six others have been recovered following a coordinated search operation at the crash site in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.

The recovery effort, led by national security operatives and emergency responders, followed a fatal military helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 06, which claimed the lives of all eight passengers on board.

The other victims were identified as Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, Dr. Samuel Sarpong, National First Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Aboagye, former parliamentary candidate

Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu, Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.

Moreover in separate statements, both the Majority and Minority in Parliament expressed deep sorrow over the loss.
