GOVERNMENT PLOUGHS 1,824 HECTORS IN BLOCK FARMING

Leribe, Aug. 14 — The Prime Minister of Lesotho and leader of Revolution For Prosperity (RFP) Mr. Samuel Matekane has highlighted that the government has ploughed 1 824 hectors for winter cropping.

This, he highlighted while addressing RFP supporters at the rally held in Maputsoe on Sunday.

Mr. Matekane urged Basotho to engage in Agriculture to avoid hunger noting that there are about 521, 000 people living below breadline.

He appealed to Basotho to engage in block farming with the government so as to get their share, where production benefits both parties.

Referring to the hectors ploughed, he said for the district of Leribe the government through Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has managed to plough 672 hectors. . .
