IEC CHAIRPERSON COMMENDS POLITICAL PARTIES FOR COMPLIANCE

Maseru, Aug 04 — The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) Chairperson has commended political parties for complying with the electoral code of conduct during the October 07 National Assembly elections.

Speaking during the official launch of the National Joint Operation Centre (NATJOC) held at Lehakoe Recreation Club on Friday, Mr. Mphasa Mokhochane said as the commission they feared for the worst after noticing that in some of the political rallies ahead of the elections, there were some armed with firearms.

He said that was against the code of conduct that was signed by all the political parties ahead of the October 07, 2022 National Assembly elections. . .
