Maseru, Aug. 13 — Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) Public Relations Officer Mr. Tuoe Hantsi has confirmed that he received a dismissal letter from the Commission.
He made the confirmation in an interview with the Agency, following reports trending on social media indicating that he was dismissed last Friday after he and his lawyer failed to appear before a disciplinary hearing.
Mr. Hantsi said although he could not say much, it is alleged that he was dismissed because the Director Of Elections Mr. Mpaiphele Maqutu said his Secretary alleged that Mr. Hantsi refused to come to the Director’s office when he (director) called him. . .
