NAKA-LA-MOHLOMI, #BACHASHUTDOWN RAISES CONCERNS OVER REVIVAL OF OMNIBUS BILL

Maseru, Aug. 13– Naka-La-Mohlomi together with #Bachashutdown have presented their letter of concern to the Prime Minister (PM) regarding the decision made by the Government and opposition to revive the 10th Amendment to the Constitution (Omnibus Bill).

In an interview with Mr. Moorosi Moshoeshoe from Naka-La-Mohlomi, he told the Agency that the letter serves to warn the government to stop with immediate effect the revival of the Omnibus Bill as, it does not serve public interest but rather of parliamentarians.

He said all their inputs to the formation of the Bill have been cut out and this says the National Assembly does not care about the public hence it decided to leave out all what the public said.

Mr. Moshoeshoe stated that to allow such to happen will mean that the government does not have interest in protecting the public, and its rights to take part on issues that concern them. . .
