Xi’an, Sept.18—As part of their training in Beijing China, about 30 media professionals from nine African countries on Monday toured Shaanxi Media Convergence in Xi’an about 1,200 kilometres from Beijing.
Shaanxi Media Convergence is one of the largest television station in Shaanxi province with eight channels and satellites covering the whole of China.
Xi’an is in Shaanxi province where the fossil fuel and high technology sectors compose the two largest industries in the province.
The media practitioners are from Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Nigeria, Zambia, Sierra Leone, Cameroon and Ghana.
Briefly addressing them, Shaanxi Media Convergence Director Gao Feng said that they broadcasts news from some of the African countries where there are Chinese missions helping out citing Sudan where he said there is Chinese medical team assisting victims there.
