Maseru, Jan.24 — A case in which four members of the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) are charged with the murder of Police Constable Mokalekale Khetheng has on Friday resumed before the High Court.
The prosecution led its 16th witness Detective Inspector Tankiso Lethoko who is part of the investigation team in this case.
Progress in this case was affected last year when the case failed to proceed on several occasions due non -payment of pro deo fees for defence lawyers. Shortage of funds for processing of subpoenas also contributed to the delays.

The court has in this case already held a trial within trial after the defence challenged a testimony by one of the witnesses Inspector Rapelang Nkeane. The witness had stated that the accused voluntarily showed them a place where they dumped the body of the deceased.
The trial within trial was intended to assist the court to establish admissibility of evidence presented by the prosecution against the accused. . . .
