VENDORS HAVE THREE MONTHS TO REMOVE SHACKS

Maseru, Jan.24 — Roma street vendors have three months to remove their shacks and stalls on the road reserve along the National University of Lesotho (NUL) fence from Ha-Scout to Selakheng.

This was said by one of the Councillors of Manonyane Community Council Mr. Sipho Ramalitse in an interview following the meeting held on Wednesday which was attended by Roads Directorate, Maseru District Administrator, Council, Contractors and representatives of street vendors to discuss way forward prior to the construction of St. Michael’s – Roma road anticipated to start next month.

He said that they have been informed by the Roads Directorate that all shacks and stalls along the road from St. Michael’s to Ha-Mafefooane will be removed especially those occupying a 30metres road reserve radius. . . .
