Maseru, Oct. 16 — Members of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) are seen patrolling in different parts of the Maseru City ahead of tabling of the vote of no confidence motion against the government.
These LDF members are said to ensure protection and stabilization of peace in a democratic dispensation.
LDF members were seen in different parts of the city that include the well known BNP centre, LNDC and above all within the state media broadcast and Lesotho’s only News Agency (LENA) surroundings known as LNBS.
Meanwhile, the Agency has witnessed and observed calmness prevailing in the city, with many continuing with their daily businesses following the rains which descended in different parts of the country from the sky to the earth throughout last night.
However, efforts to talk to a number of Basotho regarding the vote of no confidence set to be tabled in the National Assembly later today, Monday were unfruitful as many indicated they were no longer interested in Parliamentarians matters anymore.
It remains to be seen how the debate will unfold later today. Earlier, the opposition announced they have 64 Parliamentarians expected to support the motion.
