Maseru, May 19 — Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police by his capacity as Member of Parliament for Teyateyaneng promised to shower Lioli FC players with a total of M150,000 for winning this year’s Vodacom Premier League championship.
Lioli FC managed to hold Matlama to a one all draw and in the process being crowned the 2023/2024 soccer season new league champions after amassing a total of 68 points while Matlama secured only 66 points.
Lioli FC General Manager, Mr. Lekhooa Thabaneng told the Agency on Sunday, a day after Lioli clinched the Vodacom Premier League title that as had pledged, Mr. Lephema insisted that he would honour his promise and give the entire Lioli FC players a sum of M150,000 which they will share amongst themselves.
Furthermore, he stated that a local business woman, Mrs. ‘Mamoqebelo Semethe has also invited the entire Lioli FC family that include the players, technical team and the team’s executive to a lunch on Sunday fully sponsored by her.
