Botha-Bothe, Oct. 5 — The Lesana Wellness Games, scheduled to take place in Botha-Bothe this upcoming weekend, were inaugurated today in Maseru by the Minister of Gender, Youth, Sports, Recreation, Culture, and Social Development.
During the reading of the Minister’s speech on sports in his absence, Mr. Khotso Patsa, the Acting Director in the Department of Sports and Recreation, expressed the ministry’s enthusiasm for the initiative undertaken by Lesana in support of public servants.
He emphasized that sports have the power to bring joy, and when public servants are happy, their service delivery reflects positively on the country’s economy. Mr. Patsa noted that this marks the second time Lesana has sponsored games for public servants, totalling an impressive contribution of M200,000 thus far.
