Maseru Aug. 13 – Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP) and Smallholder Agriculture Development Project(SADP) has held the Lesotho Agricultural Trade Fair in Maseru on Wednesday.
During the Fair, the Minister of Agriculture Mr. Thabo Mofosi said the Agricultural Trade Fair is an important collaboration, innovation and partnerships in an Agricultural Sector as it highlights the nations Agricultural ability and commitment to food security, the challenges faced by the sector.


Mr. Mofosi indicated that the Government is committed to supporting farmers through initiatives aimed at improving their products for sustainability.
WFP Lesotho Country Director Mr. Elliot Vhurumuku stated that WFP is always ready to transfer the global experience and market based programming to the Government and partners in Lesotho.

He indicated that this fair is designed for the market to trade better for Basotho farmers and businesses.
He encouraged farmers to work together and to take control of their supply for agriculture imports and production.
A farmer and a business owner, Mr Tseane Lebuajoang shared his secret to agricultural success during an interview.
