MAN KILLED FOR STEALING STRAW

BEREA – Police in Mapoteng have collected a  body of an unidentified man on Wednesday at Liotloaneng after he was allegedly beaten to death while stealing straw.

According to the councillor of Makeoane D01 in Liotloaneng, Mr. Mohau Sello,  the man is estimated to be between 18 and 20 years old.

“He was caught stealing straw from one of the villagers and was beaten until he died,” he said.

The man had tied three bundles of straw onto a donkey, which is suspected to be one that had been reported missing by another villager in May.

“The donkey matches the description of one that was reported missing, but we are still working to confirm this,” Mr. Sello added. . . .
