LIKUENA EYES ON THE WASPS

Maseru, June 09 — Lesotho’s senior national soccer squad Likuena arrived in Durban on Saturday to start preparations for the next 2026 FIFA World Cup group C qualifier against Rwanda’s The Wasps to be played at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Both Likuena and The Wasps perched at the top of Group C and second position with five and four points respectively.

Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) Media Officer, Mr Mikia Kalati told the Agency that after swallowing the Warriors of Zimbabwe last Friday, Likuena flew to the coastal town of Durban, where they began preparations for their next World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.

Likuena will be fresh from the morale boosting win against Zimbabwe, which was left licking its wounds following a 2-0 loss, while The Wasps tails will be heavily tagged between their legs after a mid-week 1-0 loss to Benin in the same competition.
