Mokhotlong Sept.13 — Family, colleagues and friends from different walks of life and discipline gathered in large numbers to pay their last respect to the late Mr. Serame Linake in Mokhotlong on Saturday.
Mr. Linake was former District Administrator (DA) for Mokhotlong for six years from 2017. He was also a member of Lesotho Mounted Police Service for 20 years. He died on August 28 after a short illness.
Among those who were in attendance at Linake’s funeral service included former Lesotho’s Prime Minister Dr. Moeketsi Majoro, leaders of political parties, Members of Parliament, DAs from different districts of the country, Excellencies, Police Officers, Head of Departments and companies and the general public.

Mrs. Maeisaih Thabane, wife to former PM Dr. Motsoahae Thabane was also present at the funeral service. Other people came from Sani border post management, South Africa side.
Giving condolences on behalf of the government, the Minister of Environment and Forestry Mr. Letsema Adonts’i said the country has lost a great man who worked tirelessly to ensure that crime is reduced in the district.
“The late Linake was a great man because of the things he did when he was still alive”, he said. . . .
