Mokhotlong, June 26 — The Lesotho National Federation of Organizations of the Disabled (LNFOD) has sensitized various stakeholders about Gender-Based violence (GBV) against disabled individuals within their communities.
Addressing the stakeholders at a two-day workshop, Mr. Thaabe ‘Moso, human rights officer, expressed his concerns on GBV incidents occurring in the communities where the victims reside.


He further stated that some of these incidents are perpetrated by family members, guardians, and even biological parents who are expected to provide full protection to these individuals.
He mentioned several factors that force victims to be subjected to abuse, including hunger, poverty, and a lack of societal support. . . .
