Maseru, Sept. 29 — Although doors opened at 07:05 at Rural Polling Station which is under Maseru Municipal Council 02 only eight people cast their votes at that time.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency, the Assistant Returning Officer Ms. Ts’epang Ntelo said at least 1600 people are expected to cast their votes at the polling station which has three doors.
She said there were no problems encountered as all electorial materials are available.
She indicated that there are 15 candidates contesting for local government elections at the polling station and they include 4 women and 11 men, saying 12 parties and 3 independent people are also contesting.
