LOCAL GOVERNMENT MINISTRY SWEAR-IN COUNCILLORS 

Maseru, Oct. 31– The Ministry of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police will on November 07, swear-in Councillors and allow them a provision to elect the new Mayor of Maseru. 

In his official speech, the Principal Secretary (PS) in the ministry Mr. Moshe Mosaase said that the ministry does in terms of the Local Government Act of 1997 that gives the Minister power to form councils and or wards in their different categories. 

Mr. Mosaase mentioned that Councillors will resume their duties on Tuesday, October 31, while their first sitting is expected to be on November 07 therefore, all members of the councils are expected to show up.
