MAFETENG DISTRICT TOPS LGCSE RESULTS AGAIN

Maseru, Jan. 16 — Mafeteng district ranks number one of the 10 districts in the Lesotho General Certificate in Secondary Education (LGCSE) 2024 results with 64.78 percent which is 7.18 percent increase from 2023 as it attained same position with 57.6 percent.

This surfaced at the press briefing to announce the 2024 LGCSE results by the Minister of Education and Training Professor Ntoi Rapapa on Thursday in Maseru.

In second position is Mohale’s Hoek with 64.6 percent followed by Leribe with 64.49 percent and Thaba-Tseka in fourth position with 64.48 percent. While in fifth position is Botha-Bothe followed by Qacha’s Nek, Maseru, Berea, Mokhotlong and Quthing is still the last with 44.9 percent however, it is an improvement from 2023’s 38.1 percent.

In his remarks, Prof. Rapapa said that there is an overall 61 percent pass rate, an increase of 8 percent from 53 percent in 2023.
