Mohale’s Hoek, Jan. 23 — Water, Sanitation and Hygiene’s (WASH) Technical Development Coordinator, Ms. Relebohile Mafisa has on Tuesday pleaded with Water Committee members from various villages in Phamong to preserve water systems to ensure sustainability.

Ms. Mafisa noted this at a 4 day training held for the aforementioned groups where she indicated that the purpose of the training is to ensure that committees are capacitated on appropriate ways of looking after their water systems, after being handed over to them following completion.

She stated that partnering with Department of Rural Water Supply, World Vision Lesotho’s mission is to assure that villagers have access to clean water at all times, noting they have until 2033 to ensure that the mission is achieved.
