Qacha’sNek, Mar. 01 — A 20 year-old man of Matebeng is in Qacha’sNek police custody at the brink of appearing before court for allegedly burning his mother’s hut.
An arsonist and his mother aged 45 stay in different places at Ha Lelingoana, Matebeng.
Speaking to the Agency, Detective Sub-Inspector Thabo Setenane, Qacha’s Nek Police Station Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Manager, said the suspect intentionally torched a hut belonging to his biological mother citing that in 2019 when the suspect came from initiation, he found his three goats sold by the victim.
According to Sub-Inspector Setenane, the incident occured on February 25, 2024 around 22:00 pm.
