Maseru, Oct. 09 — Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development through its department of Elderly Care Services is set to celebrate the International Day of Older Persons on October 11, 2024 at Pitso Ground in Maseru.
As stated by Mrs. Mpho Makhetha, communications officer, indicated that this year’s theme is “The part we play, celebrating the integral role of Older Persons in our communities”.
She stated that this event will highlight the vital contributions older individuals make in shaping vibrant and inclusive societies.
Mrs. Makhetha mentioned that the observance serves as a reminder of the indispensable roles older persons fulfill within their families and communities.
