MOCHOBOROANE BIDS FAREWELL TO CUBAN DOCTORS

Maseru, April 11 — The Minister of Health Mr Selibe Mochoboraone says the past three years have been challenging for Lesotho and the rest of the world due to covid -19 pandemic.

This, he revealed at the Farewell event for Cuban doctors that came to Lesotho in 2019 hele in Maseru on Tuesday.

Mr. Mochoboroane pointed out that the arrangement of doctors coming on a mission to Lesotho was part of the bilateral agreement between the Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Cuba and the Kingdom of Lesotho.

Mr Mochoboroane added that during the Cuban doctor’s tenure in the country three were numerous challenges in the political landscape and the ministry of health leadership, however adding that the Cuban doctors continued to deliver the best possible Health care services to Basotho people every time they were required to.

He emphasised that the covid-19 pandemic did challenge the plans that the country had made and it was of interest to the country to have brought 23 more Health professionals through the ministry of health of the Republic of Cuba.
