MORE THAN 180 HECTARES CULTIVATED UNDER LNDC FUNDED BLOCK FARMING  

Quthing, June 18 — More than 187 hectares have been cultivated under The Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) funded winter cropping targeting more than 250 hectares at Koung in Koali Agricultural Resource Centre (RC) the Quthing department of Agriculture, Food Security Nutrition.   

In interview with the Agency, the District Corps Officer from department of in the department Agriculture, Food Security Nutrition Mr. Katleho Mat’sabisa said the winter cropping at Koung is intended for wheat block farming as part of LNDC activities to respond to the government’s call to all stakeholders to support food production.

He stated that Koung block farming is for planting of wheat and it has engaged 14 local tractor constructors that started on Monday last with cultivation of the fields which will be followed with disking and planting of wheat. . .
