Qacha’sNek, Jan. 16 —Three men have been remanded in custody following the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man in Tebellong, Ha Mahabe.
Senior Resident Magistrate Ts’eliso Bale of the Qacha’s Nek Magistrate Court charged 32-year-old Ntsane Mahabe with murder in contravention of Section 40 (1) of the Penal Code Act No. 6 of 2010, read with Section 109 (3).
Mahabe allegedly acted in common purpose with Motsamai Mosuhli, Lehlohonolo Moeletsi, Sekoala Mahlo, and Lithatong Kolisang when they allegedly shot and killed Bohlokoa Mphephe on January 8, 2026.
Mphephe sustained three gunshot wounds to the back of the head, left eye, and upper left arm in what police described as an “execution-style” killing.
An application was made under Section 140 (1) (a) of the Criminal Procedure and Evidence Act No. 9 of 1981 to join two co-accused in in the murder case (CR04/26) Mahlo, 26, of Ha Rapase, Ha Pheello, and Moeletsi, 28, of Lebakeng, Ha Letete.
Mahlo also faces a separate charge of unlawful possession of a firearm under Section 3 (1) and 2 (a), read with Section 43 (1) of the Internal Security (Arms and Ammunition) Act No. 4 of 1999, as amended…
