Quthing Jan. 23 — The Lesotho 2021-2030 National Social Protection Strategy II (NSPS II) is intended to close the gaps of social protection services to ensure provision of comprehensive inclusive social protection that increases resilience to risks and shocks to all Basotho.
Presenting at a one-day workshop on dissemination of LNSPS II the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer from the Ministry of Social Development, Gender and Youth Mr. Tlali Maphoma said objectives of the strategy include, to expand social protection Programmes that provide relief from the poor, and vulnerable households across all cycles of life.
He stated that LNSPS is inline with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as different activities and programmes included in the strategy, and its action plan among others supports reduction of poverty and vulnerability, enhancement of food security and health, provision of Quality education for all and creation of decent jobs.
