Thaba Tseka, Apr. 07 — The introduction of the plastic levy seems new to customers daily, as paying for plastic becomes a challenge.
Speaking during an interview with a well-known retail shop staff member who asked for anonymity, she said most of their customers are still adamant about paying for the plastic bags, thinking they are being cheated.
She indicated that most people are unaware of the Plastic Levy introduced in the country.
The shop has complied with the regulations and has produced a different plastic bag from the one it has been using, hence it has started charging customers for plastic bags. ML/TL
